With the New Year right around the corner,

I have been making my list of resolutions/inspirations/ and goals for 2012.

Keeping it light to start off, I have been inspired to add happy patterns to my life.

Living in Seattle the color palettes and prints are pretty mellow. I refuse to be stuck in this typical Seatlle bore.

I love this one from Pinterest. The crisp colors make me humble. The composition is totally swoon-worthy, yet so simple. Reminds me not to over think my craft.

Though Im not much of a reader, books are so beautiful to me, especially THESE ones!

Finding me sitting on my own in the 30 minutes of lunch, or daydreaming without the sound of music in my car is not out of the ordinary. I am often in la la land swarmed with plans, ideas, thoughts, and events that are near to come.

I am a jotter, a sketcher, a highlighter and a pen and paper are my must haves as I sit and catalogue this rush of ideas.

(My new Missoni for Target-composition books are garnishing this habit of mine now. dreamy......)

So tomorrow, some ideas will make their big debut in front of the lens. Unfortunately I will be front as well. :) Im a behind the scenes kind of girl, but in order to do that, being in front is necessary, just this time.

Im taking a brief little road trip for a job this weekend and pretty excited to gather inspiration at each stop I make. (Inspiration is way better than key chains or post cards!)

You know your are a true dreamer/artist when you find inspiration from doing yard work. After a day of trimming the hedge around our house (ok, my fiance put in the hard work), I found something that sparked my creative soul. As the ladder was propped up against the fence, I became a little enamoured. Now, how to use this vertical object.... or maybe it's horizontal?

Scar-Jo (Moet & Chandon's brand ambassador) made this fragile ad shot so soft and dreamy for the champagne's 2011 ad campaign.

How great is the feminine element against the stark city skyline! Love the muted colors.

This photo just makes you feel warm on a cool night! Dreaming of an outdoor party with great friends and family. Nice idea to warm up an outdoor space without needing more tables.

I fell in love with this editorial back when I first saw it. So modern-fairytell like. Again, so dreamy!

It's no secret. I LOVE MY MAGAZINES! 6 subscriptions, and I still go out and pick up these monthly inspiration bibles. Awww...

I dont toss them out. I tear out the pages that I adore, and set them aside for inspiration, or just frame them throughout my space if I really lust over the images.

A couple faves are Wmagazine (heart pumps faster everytime I see it in the mailbox!), ElleDecor, Elle, Country Living (I know, Im a little country), Town & Country (I dream of becoming a NYC "old money" socialite), Harper's Bazaar (what you SHOULD be wearing..).

summer love.

Now that we are officially into summer, I cant help but to

day dream over all of the gorgeous flowers around.

Splashes of colors as I walk down the street, and the euphoric mood that is set when I see them in my yard, makes summer feel OH-SO-REAL.

It's amazing how different elements can spark inspiration from images of a catalog, to people on the street, to a photograph from the past. It can reflect into your mood, your wardrobe, your activities, and your home.

Tribal prints are totally enticing my dreams of sitting beach side, buy a fire pit these days. They remind me of summer vacations when we would travel by truck & camper to the flatlands of Montana,SD, and Wyoming. These images are all totally plummeting me straight into summer dream-mode. (Hey, if you cant take a vaca, you might as well take one through the web!) Awww......
