A little taste of home

personalized vignette

I found this modern city print months ago on www.fab.com and have been dying to get it!
Finally, it arrived and I headed right out to Michaels Craft Store to pick up a chic and inexpensive frame. Love the Museum matte!
Total, this only cost me $35 (frame and print). (Oh! Look who slipped in the photo.... those little succulents.... they love making an appearance!)

p.s. the number is a salvaged house address number I snagged up from EarthWise (an architectural salvage store) in Seattle. (why "3"? I was born in the 3rd year of the 80's, on the 3rd day of the 3rd month....makes sense right!)

forever grateful

Remembering all that left this world with dignity and pride.
Such an honor to have had some of these strong men fight for what we have today.

Forever grateful.

one can pretend.

I have been itchin' to head east to the desert these days.
Since a vacation is not in the works for sometime.... I have invested in a few succulent plants to get me by.

Will this cut it? Prob not. But for now, it will have to do.

The Kaufmann House in Palm Springs.... dry and muted=dreamy.
Adding the rugged stone element with succulents is a great way to pretend you really are in the dry climate of the desert!
A small lovely something.
Here are my 3little gems.  They make me happy.  Simple and gorge.

{YELLOW} Mother's Day Brunch

Tomorrow I will be hosting a small Mother's Day brunch for my mom, sister, niece and grandma.
I will be (trying at least) keeping it minimal, easy and very fresh to compliment the 80 degree+ weather we are suppose to be having for Mother's Day.

I always back away from yellow as a focus for some reason.
Tomorrow I will be embracing it!
I picked up a 30+ piece vintage Mikasa set a year ago from a thrift store that will be the perfect foundation for brunch. I bet Grandma will enjoy the set as well!

"Entertaining with Craspedias" has been on my bucket list for a while now.
Keeping it super minial is key with this unique blossom.
Lemon-Blueberry pancakes. Enough said.
2 full bags of oranges from Trader Joes for FRESH-SQUEEZED OJ!
COFFEE!
To all of those Mommas out there
"Have a FABULOUS MOTHER'S DAY!"
